Being dishwasher-organised

December 27, 2018 by Kane Simms

Why be organised? Why plan your time? Why not just let it be?

I used to. I never used to be organised at all.

Then I realised, when I got a dishwasher, the importance of being organised.

I’m anal about stacking the dishwasher. Everything has its place. And there’s a reason. It’s not because I have OCD and need everything in order. It’s simply because I want to maximise the use of a cycle. I want the thing brimming with as many dirty pots as can possibly fit in there. The more that’s in there, the less times it has to be used and the less time it takes out of my life.

And life is like a dishwasher.

If you just throw dishes and glasses into a dish washer, it gets full pretty quickly and you’ll be constantly filling and emptying it.

If you stack all of the dishes and glasses properly, then you’ll fit a lot more in it.

Imagine that the tray in the dishwasher is the equivalent of time. If you take some time to plan and organise everything properly, you’ll maximise the time you have.
